Case
The ability to choose a great looking case is what helps set PWP Technologies, Inc apart from the competition. Other cases are available too, just ask!

Power Supply
Some cases have built in power supplies, most do not. If the case does not reference a power supply, it does not have one built in. Even if your case has a built in power supply, consider upgrading to a high quality power supply.

Mother Board
The correct motherboard is essential to any good system. Every motherboard we use is only of the highest quality.

Processor
Choosing the correct processor for your system is very important. Intel versus AMD. We can help. The latest Core 2 Duo processors from Intel are great, but expensive. The AMD Am2 Dual Core Processor is good and costs less than the Intel processor. No matter which processor you choose, they both will last you for years to come. Both Intel and AMD have a 3 year manufacturer warranty.

Memory
With Windows Vista, Memory (RAM) has become even more important. CL = Cas Latency, in English, generally the lower this number the better your performance. Memory with a low CL is expensive. As the speed of the memory increases, so does the CL. It can get complicated finding the best RAM, but the general guide is to compare CL’s with the same speed memory. Hopefully this did not confuse you, if it did, please contact us and we can help. It is also important to note, some people have very specific types of memory they want. If you are one of those people and don’t see your favorite memory here, please contact us.
***Note:***4 GB or more of Memory requires the 64 Bit edition of Windows 7 (Otherwise only about 3.5GB of RAM will be available for use).

Hard Drive
The hard drive stores all the information on your PC. These drives have increased in size and reliability. Some systems offer RAID options. RAID uses at least two disks for either better performance or data security. The higher levels of RAID can offer both security and better performance. If you have specific needs in hard drives or RAID configurations, please let us know.

Video Card
The entire point of a gaming or graphics PC is the video rending capabilities. Having a powerful video card is a must! The best video cards do not come cheap. We give you the option to balance power with the check book. If you see a card that you need, please just ask!

Optical Drive
Most of our PC systems come with dual DVD Burners. If you have specific brand needs, just drop us a note and let us know.

Operating System
The operating system is what runs all the hardware components in your PC. Without your operating system, your PC would not do anything but power on. We offer Windows 7 on all of our systems. Need Linux? Contact us.

Floppy
We have stopped offering 3.5” floppies in our PCs. They are still available, but 99.9% of people will never use them anymore. Often by the time you do use them, they are so full of dust they do not work anyway. What we have instead of a floppy is a memory card reader. This card reader allows you to put your digital camera’s memory stick right into this device. The cards then show up as a drive on the system. If you still really need a floppy disk, let us know, we can still find them around.

Warranty
All PWP Technologies, Inc PC’s come with a standard 1 year warranty. Below, you have the option to extend that warranty up to three years. With any extended warranty, it cover nationwide PC hardware support. With the standard 1 year warranty, you pay to send the PC to us and we pay to ship it back to you.
